Junior Project Manager

What you do

As Project Manager, you are responsible for the successful delivery of various Waste-to-Energy technology package projects according to customer expectations in terms of quality, safety, time and budget.

You will manage the entire project cycle : coordination of the design, planning, realization, aftercare during the warranty period, recalculation and evaluation of the project.

You are responsible for both the technical, operational and financial aspects of the project and report periodically to the Head of Project & Proposal and Management.

You are the first contact with the customer and any project partners and you build a professional relationship with them in the long term.

You are responsible for organizing the kick-off meeting with the project team and with the customer. You organize regular internal follow-up meetings with the project team.

During the engineering phase:

  • You are responsible for the technical design (basic and detailed design) and the planning

       (including delivery terms) according to customer specifications and the current standards;

  • You coordinate the project-related price requests to contractors and suppliers;

  • You take care of the formulation of the technical evaluation.

You hereby appeal to colleagues from different disciplines / departments. 

During project execution, you see to it that planning, quality and budget stay in line with the initial project plan. You are also constantly alert for any project risks and opportunities. You organize safety - health - environmental consultation before and during the execution of the project and you perform a (safety) risk analysis of the site in collaboration with the Site Manager and QEHS Manager.

For each finished project, you do the recalculation and lessons learnt.

During the warranty period, you will be responsible for the follow-up and finishing of the final items and the warranty claims.


Travel abroad

You are prepared to travel abroad frequently for meetings with the customer and audits at the yard.


You are a great engineer (m/f)

  • You have a degree of Civil, Industrial or Bio Engineer with several years of experience in project management of industrial installations.

  • Preferably experience in multidisciplinary aspects of industrial installations (mechanics, electricity, automation, instrumentation and processes).

  • Knowledge of Contract Management

  • Strong communication skills (Dutch and English, knowledge of other languages is an asset)
