Project Engineer

What you do

  • Together with the managers from other engineering teams (process, mechanical design and EIA), you work out the technical design of the subproject.

  • You draw up specifications for the delivery of the equipment as well as the execution of the works on site (piping, insulation, erection, etc.). You base yourself on information from your colleagues (process dept (PFDs, P&IDs), mechanical design (material, layout, detailed drawings, connection measurements), procurement department) as well as on project-specific contract conditions.

  • You maintain contacts with potential suppliers, subcontractors and partners in order to complete the technical evaluation of the tenders.

  • You are responsible for the correct execution and follow-up of the different stages of one or more subprojects as established and monitored during the project (or proposal) progress meetings.

  • You are responsible for monitoring the suppliers and agreeing on this with Quality Control for the drawing-up and follow-up of the Inspection & Test Plan.

  • Follow up the contract with the sub-contractor for assembly will be agreed with the Discipline Engineer on site or the Site Manager.

  • You are responsible for collecting, checking and keeping the technical documentation up to date (assembly regulations, commissioning instructions, handover documentation) in relation to both the customer and the supplier.

  • You assist the proposal team during the preparation of the quotation (technical part).

  • You participate in continuous fundamental and industrial research and development of current and new technologies/new technical concepts and applications.

Travel abroad

You are prepared to make short trips abroad (10%) for meetings with the suppliers or on-site inspections.

You are a great engineer (m/f)

  • Diploma: Master degree in (Electro)Mechanics or equivalent through experience

  • Experience: 6 years of experience in electromechanical (sub)projects
